Florian Seidl – Austria

Telling a story with the help of cutting edge 3D visualisation technologies was my main objective for my graduation project at the RCA. The chosen story is a famous classic of English Literature - Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World’. The book was published in 1932 and projects a future scenario.
My project puts its focus on the helicopter taxicabs that whirr in-between the high-rise buildings of a future London – the city where
most of the story is set. London’s iconic transportation design forms an important source of inspiration. Another resource is the
era which influenced Huxley while writing the novel - the roaring 1920s and early 1930s, with Futurism, Modernism and Art Deco.
Florian will be showing a life-size model of the helicopter in the graduate show."
